Meet the Bellbird (Korimako)

Say hello to the bellbird, or korimako, one of Aotearoa’s most recognisable songbirds. Named for its clear, bell-like call, the bellbird’s rich and varied song is a familiar sound in forests, gardens, and coastal bush throughout New Zealand.

Bellbirds are olive-green in colour with a pale throat and a slender curved beak, well suited for feeding on nectar. They are important pollinators for many native plants.

Handcrafted in Arrowtown by Jack Stobart, each bellbird is individually shaped from white porcelain and carefully glazed to reflect the bird’s rounded form and subtle colouring. No two are exactly the same.

Dimensions (mm): 180 h × 140 l × 180 w | Weight: 300 g
